Help Somkiat get home to Bangkok Thailand
I would like to introduce you to Somkiat
Surushvadewit who is currently 72 years old. He was born in Bangkok, Thailand, and
became a US Citizen 50 plus years ago. Until
one year ago, he was living all alone in a low
income housing project located in Newton
Lower Falls, Massachusetts.
Somkiat lost both of his brothers who were
both living in Thailand, and was unable to
attend either of their funerals due to financial and health issues he was dealing with himself.
Unfortunately a year ago Somkiat suffered a
devastating stroke in his apartment, and laid
on the floor for 2 days without any medical
attention until he was discovered by the
Newton housing authority.
He now currently resides in a rehab center
located in Boston, and requires 24/7 care
since he can’t move either his left arm or leg
due to the damage caused by the severe
stroke.
Somkiat’s last wish is to move back to
Thailand to live out the rest of his life in his
home country.
Due to the expense of a medical stretcher
flight back to Thailand, and on-going medical
costs we are trying to raise approximately
$250,000 to help him make the long final
journey home.
We are asking each and everyone to please
consider donating any amount you can to help us achieve this monumental effort for
Somkiat.
Thank You So Much
