Help Sora Heal: Support His Surgery

Hi there,

I’m reaching out to ask for help covering the cost of surgery for my puppy, Sora. Sora’s leg broke while we were playing at a park. He was running full speed down a hill and at the bottom there was a grate that his leg fell into.

Sora has been the most incredible companion since the day I met him. I’ve struggled with mental health challenges for most of my life, and adopting him has truly enriched and improved my life in so many ways. He fills my world with love, comfort, and purpose every single day.

After spending six years working toward my master’s degree to become a therapist, I landed my first job in the field—only to find it overwhelming and underpaid. The stress eventually led to a breakdown, and I knew I had to make a change. That’s when I adopted Sora. I needed someone to come home to, to love, and to be loved by. And he’s done exactly that—more than I ever expected.

Since then, I’ve started a new job that’s a better fit for my mental health and long-term goals. But with the costs of his injury, I’m facing more than I can manage on my own. His surgery is highly recommended and important for his long-term well-being, but I’ve already spent a significant amount on his initial vet visits and still have upcoming aftercare expenses.
