Help Soundscape with accessible outdoor experiences for All

Tax deductible
Soundscape Community, a globally distributed consortium of volunteer individuals and organisations, is working with Capital Region Nordic Alliance Inc. (CRNA), in providing accessible and inclusive outdoor-based recreational and leisure experiences for people of ALL abilities. Through its unique 3D sound technology, Soundscape Community delivers an experience that both complements our natural human abilities and is more engaging and fun and allows us to connect with the environment we live in, in an authentic, immersive, and informative way. With its origins in working closely with the blind and low-vision community, the program of adaptive sports experiences we design and deliver, enable people with disabilities to participate in activities such as hiking, trail-orienteering, kayaking and many more, for both pleasure and competition.

Soundscape Community is now embarking on pilot programme comprised of several engagements in North America, Europe, and Australia (with the ultimate goal of making our experiences available globally!) and seeks funding to support the in-person activities by providing access to experts on the ground to help ensure these experiences are successful and deliver a positive impact to the lives of those participating. The funding will cover travel and subsistence costs, along with a small stipend, of specialists within the Soundscape Community consortium who will oversee and manage the design and delivery of the planned activities and experiences and empower individuals from local participating organisations with the knowledge and skills to run future events independently with minimal oversight.

We are seeking to raise $100,000 to run the pilot through to June 2025, and every donation, no matter the size, will help us make a difference. We have already seen the tremendous impact and difference the Soundscape Community technology has made to individuals through empowering independent travel and the resulting enhancement to the overall quality of life it provides, and with the pilot programme seek to establish a foundation on which we can build and grow this impact around the world.

Learn first-hand about the innovative and ground-breaking experiences we have already delivered, and the life-affirming impact it has had on the participants at our Soundscape Community - YouTube channel https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCC4fr-okfwq6NND-uEGvF4A. Our first of a kind collaboration with the Invictus Games Foundation Trail-Orienteering adventure in Albany, NY in August 2024 was the largest adventure program, with no restrictions, ever undertaken by Invictus. Similarly, we have worked with Parks and Recreation agencies to improve the accessibility of routes and trails of the different spaces they manage; we have engaged with universities to make the new student orientation experience more engaging and informative and have established campus routes to make it easier to get from place to place.

Please donate all that you can afford and do share our campaign across your networks to raise awareness and help us achieve our funding target. Our vision is to help bring about a world where EVERYONE has equal access to life-enhancing outdoor recreational experiences. We will keep you updated on the progress of this campaign and thanks again for your support.
