Support Spartacus' Urgent Surgery
Brenna Bray and Vicki Cherney are raising money to support our cat, Spartacus.
I (Brenna) found Spartacus abandoned as an injured kitten (<1 mo old) when I was on a run in Vermillion, SD during graduate school. He let me pick him up, rescue him, and nurse him back to health.
More recently, Spartacus has been staying in "foster care" with Vicki Cherney. In February 2025, he developed a life-threatening urinary blockage. His foster mom (Vicki) rushed him to urgent care, where he had an urgent and potentially life-saving procedure that cost $3,600.
As low-income individuals without pet insurance, we're struggling to cover this expense.
We're seeking your kind support to help Spartacus. We are raising funds to cover:
- The initial $3,600 procedure.
- An additional $200 incurred in post-surgical medications and fees.
Any contribution will make a huge difference in his recovery.
Thank you for your generosity.
Warm regards,
Brenna Bray and Vicki Cherney
