Help Spay the Strays

Hello animal lovers, Jim and Patty here. We are currently RV'ing full time in a popular campground in western North Carolina. The campground is also home to a significant population of feral cats, both female and male, but mostly female. They are all shy of human contact, and we have provided pictures and names of those who visit us the most, but there are many others in other parts of the campground. We began a few months ago attempting to tame as many as we can in the hope of making them adoptable. We have slowly gained the trust of several cats who now frequent our campsite during the day and play among themselves. Four cats now feel comfortable enough for human handling, but several others aren't there yet, while many more are not even close. With the primary camping season still a couple of months away, we have become concerned that these kitties may become pregnant before we can find them an adoptive home and the problem of un-homed kitties explodes. Therefore, we are seeking contributions that will be used solely for the expense of spaying/neutering these homeless kitties. We have begun searching into what veterinarian services are available cost-wise, and the local option is not budget-friendly. We are still looking into other more cost-friendly options by expanding our search area but finding availability on a schedule and driving distances isn't ideal with a cat that has never been enclosed. We established the fund's goal in the worst-case scenario for the cats pictured. Any excess contributions that are not used will be given to a local no-kill shelter. Our goal is to find these loving animals good homes. We might have better chances for adoption if they have already been spayed. At least we will keep from making the problem of homeless kitties in the campground even worse. In the meantime, we provide food and shelter for those who have become comfortable being around us. Any donations will be greatly appreciated, and we will provide updates periodically on how we're doing getting them spayed. Please feel free to share this link. Thank you.
