Help Special Needs Adults at Aquatic Greens Farm
Donation protected
In 2018 Mrs Sharon had a dream to build 3 greenhouses where Special Needs Adults could come & learn some great life skills such as accountability, planting, potting, cooking, cleaning, organizing, counting money etc in an safe, hands on & fun environment with their peers. Her heart shows in all she does.
The February Snow Storm w/ 15 degree temperatures wiped out ALL of Mrs Sharon's lettuce, kale, chard, celery, green onions, figs, aloe, spinach & tilapia as well as froze underground pipes & 2 pumps to the tank house at Aquatic Greens Farms.
My name is Chris Chancellor, I work with one of the visually impaired young adults at Aquatic Farms Greens in Bryan, TX. I can honestly say this is a daily blessing to these 12 adults, their families and to the community. These adults have such sweet spirits and so energetic to be involved in every area they can. These funds go directly to Mrs Sharon to put towards starting over after losing all the produce, fish and damage to her underground pipes.
Every Friday at Aquatic Greens Farm, 2861 FM 974, Bryan TX 77808 #(979) [phone redacted], these young people also have a Farmers Market from 10am-2pm along with other vendors in the cooking areas where you can see all the great work, taste all the great food and interact with Mrs Sharon and all the great people involved.
Please *LIKE the Aquatic Greens Farm Facebook page and see all the pictures posted just show a glimpse of the greatness of this facility and these adults and when the snow disappears their smiles remain, daily. Please consider donating whatever your heart & finances allow. Mrs Sharon is very gracious in not asking but willing and needing our help. Thank you.
