Help Special Needs Family Get New Wheels!

Full Hands, Full Van!
We are not a typical family in any sense of the word. I am a member of The United States Air Force, my wife is a full time caregiver and together we have three beautiful special needs children.
Prior to now, we’ve managed our transportation needs with our paid off Honda Odyssey. However, with the addition of our oldest child’s medical stroller, we will not be able to fit all of us and the equipment we require, even for basic outings.
Our oldest child is; totally blind, level three nonverbal autistic and suffers heavily from a severe form of epilepsy known as Lennox-Gastaut Syndrome. She is currently on four medications, wears a seizure helmet and requires multiple trips to the Emergency Room and hospital every year.
Our daughter has outgrown retail sold strollers and renting medical grade strollers can be costly and not always fit her exact needs. Luckily our insurance covered her new stroller!
Our middle child is nonverbal autistic as well, blind in his right eye and low vision in his left. He also has low muscle tone and requires the use of a stroller when he needs breaks.
Our youngest is autistic, but verbal. He does have the same eye condition, but was born premature to save his vision. He lives with Biliary Atresia, a potentially fatal liver condition and is very small for his age. He has low muscle tone and Osteopenic bones, making him fragile compared to most people.
We utilize our Wonderfold wagon for our boys and now will use our daughter’s stroller for her! As parents we believe our children deserve and even require the ability to go out and be in the world, and be seen.
We love to travel with our kids and give them life experiences. Now with two large strollers and with the medical supplies we take for trips we no longer will fit in our current mode of transportation.
A large van will be able to keep our kids safe as they grow and fit the necessary equipment and supplies we need to bring with us when we take them places!
We do have our hands full, it’s not always easy to ask for help, especially monetarily. But this is bigger than we are. The communities we have lived in, LOVE our children and we know, if you met them…you would too.
Thank You!
