Spirited Lady of Fowey, Susie needs help aft Hurricane Beryl

Hi, my name is Lynn Fletcher and I am from the UK. I have known Susie Stanhope since 2010 after we met in Grenada, on Hog Island a known spot for the sailing community. Susie's beloved boat and home Spirited Lady of Fowey, a wooden Spirit 56, has sadly fallen victim to Hurricane Beryl and Susie finds herself in a very difficult situation as normally she is the one helping others, but this time she needs help as her insurance company will not cover the damage her boat has sustained. Currently Spirited Lady is on her side in the mangroves in Carriacou. There is much work to be done to try and save Spirited Lady and time is running out. Many of Susie's friends have asked if they can send a donation. Due to the current challenges in Carriacou and Susie's situation (being without a working UK phone) I have volunteered to help setup this page up and send the funds to Susie. The full costs are yet unknown at the moment and will know doubt increase as the situation unfolds, but all donations are gratefully received. The money raised will help towards getting Spirited Lady of Fowey repaired including the pumping out costs, floatation devices, hiring of a tug or similar boat to help tow, righting, temporary repairs, marina costs in Carriacou, fuel for motoring/towing to Grenada, hauling out in Grenada, body repairs and replacement of electronic equipment plus system. As you can image the list is endless and there is much to be done as Susie's boat is also her home along with 2 dogs and 4 cats. Susie has helped so many people/animals over the years whilst sailing in and around the Caribbean and she never thought she would be in this desperate situation, but she is and she needs help.
