Help Spragg Family after House Fire
Donation protected
Hello,
Some of you might have seen my dad, Ron Spragg, on Global news April 27th. That afternoon fire destroyed the lower level of my grandmother’s house and smoked out the entire second floor. An amazing person walking by called 911 and firefighters were able to rescue my grandmother from her home. She fought hard for four days but passed Saturday morning in Foothills hospital, surrounded by all her loved ones.
My parents lived in the house as well, and many of their belongings were lost in the fire. They can’t even go inside to look through the remains while the insurance investigators are still assessing the damage.
Their priority right now is finding a place to rent for themselves and their beautiful dog Mavi, and buying a few necessities, like clothes. Then they can focus on rebuilding their lives and working through this difficult time.
I am so grateful my parents were not in their home at the time of the fire, and that I was able to see and talk to my grandmother one more time before she passed. And I am grateful that you are taking the time to read this right now. Everyone has been so wonderful to us these past few days, some of the hardest in our lives.
The Spragg family has a tough time asking for help, but I have never seen two individuals who have given so much. They looked after my grandmother for 20 years while raising my sister and I (anyone who knows us knows how hard that must have been). Any donation to keep them afloat while they find a new place would mean the world to us.
If you want to talk to me about any of this, or even just have a tip about a dog-friendly rental property, you can reach me on Facebook messenger.
Thank you.
