Based in Merida, Yucatán, Mexico, the Luke 10 school is a faith-building, Book of Acts living discipleship training that outreaches to the surrounding villages. This is a full-time bilingual school (English & Spanish) with programs in the evenings & weekends while living at the school in dorm rooms. My approach to this is to put the theory into action by learning how to put faith into practice in daily life. By healing the sick, casting out demons, baptizing people in water, & having them filled with the Holy Spirit, I will be learning & challenged how to truly live inspired by the life of the early disciples in the Gospel of Luke chapter 10. As a student, I will receive biblical teachings on the foundation of the Gospel & be shown first-hand how to practically apply it in every aspect of making disciples from preaching the Gospel & finding a person of peace, to demonstrating the signs & wonders of the coming Kingdom. All this without worrying about material possessions & the cares of this world, & seeing God’s provision in taking care of me as I follow the commands of Christ & the call He gave to all His disciples while growing in every aspect of maturity in the faith. There will be a strong focus on how to be the church & to see the body of Christ in action. I'll be experiencing the Book of Acts lifestyle & be able to participate in different aspects of community, fellowship, & intensive training, which many testify transformation of one's life with new boldness, strength, & "family" that will help run this race in continuing to serve God, gaining souls & making disciples until our King returns. Another thing that makes this school special is that there will be the opportunity to collaborate with local churches to learn & grow together, encouraging us all to live as a disciple of Jesus every day, outside the four walls. A typical day is expected to consist of practical work, prayer time, teaching, small groups, & outreach to nearby cities, with time to hang out as a fellowship & share life in the evening. This truly is a strong training & equipping with a focus on sending people to reach the Spanish-speaking community in Latin America with the Gospel! As I prepare myself to go, I ask you to also prepare your heart, lifting me with prayers & financial support, as I'm being sent out in faith to the nations to make JESUS famous!
