Help Ss Peter & Paul Catholic Grade School

Dear Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Grade School alumni and all others of good will,

My name is Mary Beth Stephens Wilson and I am a Hornet and 1974 graduate of Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Grade School in Collinsville, Illinois. I am truly sorry to bring you such bleak news, but after 165+ years of operation, our beloved grade school is in financial trouble and is in desperate need of your help, and time is short.

In just a few short years we have experienced a perfect storm of Covid, reduced offertory revenue, reduced fundraising get-togethers, inflation at every turn, and utility costs that are skyrocketing. We’ve depleted our savings just to stay afloat. We are currently operating at a $500,000/year deficit and the future is grim. This happened so quickly and it is ugly. It’ll stay ugly if we don’t do something. That’s the bad news – the REALLY BAD NEWS.

Now for the GOOD NEWS – You and me!

I’m coming to you to humbly ask for monetary donations to keep our school open for future Hornets. Let’s reach this goal. We can do this.

For certain, there is no shortage of worthy causes we all support. Do you have room in your heart for one more? Think about it. Pray about it. Pass the word.
