Help St. Gabriel Animal Hospital

Veterinary technician and college student, Melanie Morgan Guillot, has been saving and rehabilitating rescue pets since 2020. Working alongside Dr. Gary Sod, they are able to take on extreme medical cases including fractured bones, severe wounds, and everything in between. Until now, Dr. Sod and Melanie have been caring for all expenses out of their own pockets; however, as their reputation grows so does the need. While they have strayed away from asking for donations in the past, they are hoping to begin the new year with more cases than ever – which equals more costs.

Melanie rescues from all over the state of Louisiana, from kill shelters and euthanasia lists. She saves bully breeds and pure breeds, aggressive animals, and extreme medical cases. Nothing is off limits. All animals are fully vetted – vaccinations, sterilization, heartworm treatment, etc. We are raising money for necessities such as food and treats as well as the finer things in life, toys and beds. Many of our dogs have never seen a toy, a collar, or even a bed in their entire lives – we would love to change that. Along with the obvious expense of medications and vaccinations. Simply, we can help more animals with more financial assistance.
