Help St Marys Futsal Team Represent England at the Europeans

Dear Supporter,

We are reaching out to share an incredible story of resilience, passion, and achievement. We are the St Mary’s University Men’s Futsal Team, a group of dedicated student-athletes who have defied the odds to qualify for the Futsal European Championships in Zagreb, Croatia, taking place from 17th to 25th July 2025. This is one of the most prestigious stages in university futsal, where we will proudly represent England and compete against Europe’s top universities.

Our journey has been nothing short of extraordinary. As underdogs, we earned promotion to the BUCS Premier League, the highest university futsal league in England, and are now contenders for the league title. Balancing our final-year studies, part-time jobs, and intense training schedules has been no easy feat, but our love for the game and determination to succeed has driven us forward.

Now, we face our biggest challenge yet—raising the funds needed to make this dream a reality. With rising living costs and limited resources, we need your help to cover:

£3,000 for the competition deposit.

An additional £4,000 for flights, accommodation, and food.

Futsal is rapidly gaining popularity across England. The recent reformation of England’s Men’s and Women’s National Futsal Teams highlights this growth—the Men’s Team even played against Spain earlier this week! Supporting us isn’t just about helping student-athletes; it’s about investing in a sport that is on the rise nationally and internationally.

As students, we already face significant financial pressures. Many of our players have self-funded expenses like new kits (over £150 per player) while managing their academic and personal commitments. Despite these challenges, we remain committed to representing St Mary’s University with pride on an international stage.
