Help St Teresa's Tech Team Reach the World Championships!

In November, St Teresa’s Catholic Primary School in Hartlepool received funding from the REC Foundation, kickstarting an incredible journey in robotics. With the dedicated support of Mr. Ellis, our students poured countless hours - during lunchtimes, school hours, school holidays and after school - into designing, building and refining their robot.
Our first competition at Nissan in Sunderland presented challenges, but rather than being discouraged, our students used the experience to improve their design and strategy. Their perseverance paid off at the next regional event in Newcastle, where they secured first place, earning a spot at the national finals in Telford.
As underdogs, our students showed remarkable resilience at the national competition. They fought through setbacks and made it to the finals, tying for first place before facing an intense tiebreaker match in front of hundreds of spectators. In the final moments, they narrowly missed out on the top spot - but their outstanding performance didn’t go unnoticed.
Now, we are thrilled to announce that Team 77702A has been invited to represent the United Kingdom at the VEX Robotics World Championships in Dallas, Texas, this May! This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for our students to compete on the world stage, gain invaluable STEM experience, and inspire the next generation of engineers and innovators.
We Need Your Help!
Your generosity will help make this dream a reality by covering essential costs, including:
✅ Travel, accommodation, insurance and ESTA applications
✅ Competition registration fees
✅ Branded team clothing, featuring our sponsors, to showcase our school on a global stage
✅ The cost of two supply teachers to ensure our students can attend without disruption to learning
Every donation, big or small, brings us closer to giving these talented students the opportunity of a lifetime. Please consider supporting St Teresa’s Tech Team as they take on the world!
Thank you for believing in our young engineers!
