Help stabbing victim, Áoife, buy a new car

Hi everyone,

My beautiful little sister, Áoife, was stabbed three times in August this year. The woman stabbed her in the torso 3 times, getting her in the heart as well as puncturing her liver. Áoife is 21 and was studying Psychology and working as a mental health support worker at the time.

Áoife went to school in Burleigh Heads and was attending Griffith University when the incident occurred, anyone who knows Áoife knows she is one of the kindest, caring people you will ever meet. Not to mention, funny and hard working! She has worked for Chempro as a pharmacy assistant and then changed to healthcare support where she was working until when the stabbing occurred.

After the horrific stabbing, Áoife was rushed to Gold Coast Uni Hospital where they called a red blanket code and she underwent emergency open-heart surgery. My family were told she had a 5% chance of survival. Miraculously, and due to the medical team that was urgently assembled at that time of night, Áoife defied the odds and came out the other side!

After some time in hospital, she was able to come home where my mum took on the role of full time caring for her.

Since August, Áoife hasn’t been able to study or work. She is limited physically, emotionally, mentally and psychologically. She is so positive and happy and takes it one day at a time. Her life has been put on hold due to this horrible tragedy.

Next year in February, Áoife is hoping to get the all clear from her doctors to be able to drive agains, allowing her to have some kind of freedom back and normalcy back in her life. She has an old little bubble car. I would love to be able to surprise Áoife with a new, safe car to reward her for being so strong and positive after this life-changing event.

Please help me raise enough money to buy my little sister a new car for when she can drive again.
