Help Stacey: Fired for Palestine solidarity!
Donation protected
Stacey Monroe is the director of Trans Empowerment Coalition and a member of Dallas Anti-War Committee, and she recently lost her salary for participating in a protest outside General Dynamics Ordinance facility in Garland, TX.
This facility was targeted by protestors because it produces the MK-80 and BLU-109 bombs currently being dropped on Palestine.
Despite being encouraged by her board to engage in activism and disruption, many board members quit after Stacey participated in this demonstration, and the organization funding Trans Empowerment Coalition cut funding, leaving Stacey Monroe without a salary.
No one should be punished for standing up against a genocide! We are fundraising to get Stacey the money she needs to live as she continues to advocate for Palestine, for trans people, for immigrant rights, and for anyone facing injustice. Stacey is truly a pillar of solidarity across movements in our community. She faced transphobia and medical neglect while incarcerated for her activism, and now she needs our support as she faces this attack on her financial security.
This initial goal will cover one month of Stacey’s salary, but we hope that people will be generous and that the goal can be raised.
