Help Stacey & Thomas

For everyone that doesn’t know Stacey, Stacey is a beautiful soul that has been dealt a tough hand.

Stacey was diagnosed with kidney disease back in 2018 while pregnant with Claire and went into kidney failure during the birth of Harvey, which sadly meant she needed to get a kidney transplant. Which for a mother of 2 children was a hard thing to take in. Stacey went on to the waiting list to receive a transplant, which in itself has been one hell of a journey. The last 3 years Stacey has needed constant dialysis, among many procedures to help with her health. Stacey has managed running a home with Thomas, raising her 2 amazing children, Claire and Harvey & completing a Uni degree in nursing all in this hard time. What a strong cookie!!!

Now finally she got the call last week, she would be one of the lucky ones, they had a kidney for her. Off Stacey and Thomas went to Brisbane, leaving their 2 kids at home. But as everyone knows not all surgery’s go quite right, with multiple bleeds, and going back into surgery, but Stacey is one hell of a fighter!!

Stacey and Thomas now need to stay down in Brisbane for the next 5-8 weeks once she is discharge and within 5KM from the hospital. The hospital will pay for some of the accommodation but not all off it.

Stacey is extremely thankful for everything, but this will be a very costly time living away from home and also would like to be able to fly her kids down a couple of times to be a complete family in this tough time.
