Help Stacy Slay Cancer…AGAIN!

My name is Kristi (Mitchell) Wallace and I proudly call Stacy a friend for over 15 years.

Stacy holds a special place in all of our hearts! I mean come on, if you know her you have been blessed with her bear hugs and sweet kisses on your cheek. Her giving heart and listening ear are easily accessible day or night.

She’s so much to so many of us: mom to Makell, best friend, girlfriend, friend, daughter, granddaughter, cousin, sister, aunt, Ride or die, hospice nurse, chemo nurse, caregiver, etc. How can one person be all these things to so many of us?! If you know her, you have seen her fun ways, how deep she loves, and her endless HUMOR!

I was blessed to meet Stacy in 2007 when we were hospice nurses and it was then I quickly learned her special gift of making people feel beautiful, handsome, loved, and wanted. I watched her instill confidence in dying people of all ages by greeting them with hugs, kisses, smiles and that crazy Stacy humor.

She has supported me without judgement through the years-heartache, illness, love, loss and now it’s my HONOR to give back. I love Stacy and I know so many of you do too.

Let’s get to the nitty gritty:

3/1: CT scan revealed a suspicious something on pancreas.

3/6: Biopsy

3/8: Biopsy results diagnosed a malignant neuroendocrine tumor on the tail of the pancreas.

3/22: Surgeon appointment- 25% of pancreas to be removed along with all of spleen. Spleen removal necessary because the tumor is too close to the spleen.

4/24: Surgery scheduled.

*This is Stacy’s second cancer diagnosis. She had appendix cancer in 2016.

The WHY and ASK:

Stacy is projected to be off of work for 3-4 weeks. Short term disability will not take effect until week #3 begins. She will need financial assistance covering these first 2 weeks post op. If you can do it, would you consider donating? Please know, no donation is too small!
