The Stamford Stars 12U and 10U Red softball teams have shown incredible teamwork, determination, and tenacity this year, and their hard work has paid off in a big way!
The 12U Red team dominated the Russ Monbleau Memorial Day Tournament, earning an early ticket to the Babe Ruth World Series in Florence, Alabama. They didn’t stop there, going on to win the New England Regional title. This team is more than just a group of players; they are a family, and they are ecstatic to showcase their skills on such an important stage!
The 10U Red team also secured their World Series spot at the Russ Monbleau Memorial Day Tournament and triumphed in the Babe Ruth CT State Championship. Their journey to victory was marked by fierce competition and unyielding teamwork. They played their hearts out, leaving everything on the field, and their determination and spirit are truly inspiring.
Now, they need your help to make their dreams come true.
This trip is a significant undertaking for these young athletes, their coaches, and their parents. The costs of flights, hotels, rental cars, and food add up quickly. We’re asking for your support to help cover these expenses and give these girls the unforgettable opportunity they’ve worked so hard for.
No contribution is too small—every dollar counts and is deeply appreciated by our players, coaches, and families. Your support means more than you can imagine!
All fundraising proceeds will be pooled and allocated in the following order of priority:
- 100% to the league until the league has been reimbursed for any direct expenses incurred for the World Series trip.
- Pro rata to each Stars family (each family with a player on the 10U or 12U Red Teams) until each family has received its Maximum Allocation.
- Thereafter, 100% to the league as a donation.
A family’s “Maximum Allocation” includes:
- The cost of one hotel room at the allocated hotel from 7/23 through 8/1.
- The estimated cost of round-trip flights to Muscle Shoals (MSL) Airport for each player in the family and one parent.
- The estimated cost of a standard car rental in Alabama from 7/23 through 8/1.
- Approximately $250 per player (representing approximately $25 per diem to cover a team meal each day).
- If any expense that is part of a family’s Maximum Allocation is paid directly by the league, that family’s Maximum
Allocation will be reduced by the amount of that expense.
