We are StarSync Studio, a passionate team of innovators from Missoula, Montana, creating a game-changing Digital Audio Workstation (DAW) that supports real-time, low-latency collaboration. Our mission is to transform music production by enabling artists worldwide to create, compose, and innovate together in real-time.

Our Journey So Far

In Spring 2024, we had the honor of winning the prestigious John Ruffatto Startup Challenge at the University of Montana. This achievement came with a $15,000 prize, which we used to establish our LLC and begin development. After investing in necessary business infrastructure, we dedicated $12,000 to creating a prototype that showcases our vision of real-time collaboration. As of November 2024, we are thrilled to announce the successful completion of this prototype.

To further our progress, we received the continuation award and six months of free office space from Erik Guzik of the University of Montana and Brigitta Freer of MonTECH. Additionally, we are active members of the c2mBeta accelerator program by Blackfoot Communications and have been engaging with local business leaders to grow our network and refine our approach.

Transitioning from a prototype to a fully functional product is no small feat. The pre-seed funding phase is often the most challenging for startups, as securing investment at this early stage requires both proof of concept and significant perseverance. While many companies in this phase rely on self-funding, as recent graduates and current college students, we are turning to our community for support to help bring this vision to life.

We are seeking to raise $10,000 to achieve these key goals:

Transition to a C Corporation ($3,000): This will allow us to dilute equity and attract angel investors, setting the stage for sustainable growth.

Website Development ($2,500): Creating a professional, dynamic website to showcase our vision, product features, and company updates.

Server Development ($4,500): Enhancing our server-side infrastructure to ensure seamless, real-time collaboration for our users.

Nick Scharbach, Live Event Marketer, and Booking Agent: A recent graduate specializing in artist management and tour routing, Nick brings invaluable expertise in live music logistics and marketing.

Tiger Pixton, Musician & Show Organizer: A seasoned music manager who excels at fostering community engagement.

Quinn Olney, Developer: A Computer Science major and music producer bridging technology and music to develop our DAW’s cutting-edge features.
