Help Steph Recover From Surgery Fund
Donation protected
Hi friends,
On Monday, October 16th I was riding a scooter home from work and hit a rough patch in the road and fell off, crashing to the ground. I had a backpack full of groceries from work, and am pretty sure it was a can of pumpkin that came between me and the ground when I fell. I was left with a broken humerus that requires surgery to repair due to the bone being broken in multiple spots. The surgery is scheduled for November 1st and they will be putting titanium rods in my arm. I will be in recovery for months to regain use of my left arm. During most of this time, I will be unable to work at my job or my new business, The Salty Crumb.
I applied to get funds from Paid Leave Oregon, but even if I qualify, it won’t be enough to cover my basic expenses, plus new accruing expenses, such as medical supplies, extra home comfort (pillows, blankets, loose clothes, etc), food, delivery, rides, etc. I normally don’t rely on the help of other people, but my world has turned upside down. It has been very difficult mentally and physically, and the road ahead will only be more challenging. Any help you’re willing to offer would be appreciated!
I will provide updates here on how I’m doing in the upcoming weeks and months, so feel free to come back to see how I’m doing.
I miss you all!
Love, Steph
