Help Steph and her family through difficult times
Donation protected
On Saturday, August 13, life changed for Stéphanie Tétreault, born Schryer and her family.
Stephanie suffered permanent back damage when one of the trees to which a hammock was tied and in which she was swinging children collapsed. Standing in front of the children to protect them, she received the full impact of the falling tree. Her spine was severed, and she also suffered a broken vertebra. She endured nearly seven hours of surgery where the surgeons inserted metal rods and pins along her spine to realign it. Doctors have told her that there is a very slim chance that she will be able to walk again.
Stéphanie is a very active person in and out of the house. She loves upkeeping the house, like doing her own small home renos, mowing the lawn and shovelling. In addition, she enjoys playing sports and bringing her kid's tobogganing, hiking in the woods and playing at the park.
Several modifications to the house and the family car will be necessary to accommodate a wheelchair and her new way of getting around. Lawn, house and nurse care services may also be considered for the day-to-day maintenance of the home.
Any donation will be greatly appreciated. Stéphanie, Jean-Louis & the children thank you from the bottom of their hearts.
