Help Stephanie’s family in her final journey

Hello, I’m Juan, Stephanie’s uncle. My niece was diagnosed with a rare form of liver cancer over 2 1/2 years ago. I remember when she told me the news; I was in complete shock. She was completely healthy, vibrant, beautiful, and full of life, hopes, and dreams. She had recently obtained her manicurist license and was working with me in my salon when this diagnosis completely sidetracked her life.

With the support of her husband and kids, she soon started chemo, then radiation, and underwent a procedure to remove 60% of her liver in hopes of removing all infected areas, all while still being a wife and a mother to her 4 children. Stephanie struggled tremendously after her procedure, but her fight was not over. She continued with the treatments and the difficulties and uncertainties cancer can bring on everyone’s life involved, all with a smile and a brightness and the faith that she would beat this terrible illness.

Unfortunately, while continuing her treatments, the cancer had begun to spread throughout her body, entering the brain and ultimately returning again on her liver. Stephanie has given a courageous fight, never admitting defeat. We are all so proud of her for her strength and courage. Her health has unfortunately severely declined, and it was determined that treatments were no longer an option. My niece has now entered into hospice care. She is still fighting with dignity and her whole family by her side.
