Help Stephen & Ashley After Hurricane Helene
Donation protected
UPDATE: Due to the nature of the situation, my brother Stephen and his wife Ashley will be looking to rent a different home. We are lowering the need for donations because we want to be as transparent as possible. They will need help with the transition, moving cost, furniture, clothing, and other personal items that they lost.
This morning around 5 am my brother and his family, that live in Temple Ga, experienced a nightmare brought on by Hurricane Helene. A large oak tree that stood in their backyard fell onto the right-hand side of their house and straight over the bedrooms. The damage done to the roof and interior of the home was extreme. The ceiling and insulation collapsed down on them while they were asleep and ruined a lot of personal belongings: computers, clothing, bedding, furniture, carpet, etc.
My brother Stephen and his wife Ashley have 3 sweet, young girls living at home as well. Due to this event, their family (including their dogs) is having to stay with our mom where space is now very limited. This is going to be a challenging thing to get through as a family.
We are still in the dark on how much this will cost Stephen and Ashley altogether. Stephen is an incredibly hard worker, works five days a week and most Saturdays. Unfortunately, they were in an adjustment period with their finances and there is no homeowners insurance at this time. Any proceeds will go towards the potential to rebuild the home and replacing what they’ve lost. More than 1/2 of the structure was damaged and the house is unstable to enter at this time. We’re asking for not only funds, but also prayers… we appreciate everyone who reads about what happened to them this morning.
