Help Steve and his family through his medical battle

Donation protected
We cannot thank those of you that have already donated, enough. We said previously Steven has a mission of tracking each down over time and thanking them in his own special way.

Monday 3rd February Steven officially received the confirmation we all knew was coming, however instead of the 1 he was hit with the three.
Steven has been diagnosed with the following;
Thoracic Outlet Syndrome with weakness of the left arm in which he sustained in an accident in 2016. 2020 he had a spinal stimulator inserted which helped reduced the pain somewhat. He’s had numerous trigger point injections and RFN. He is still left with severe chronic pain
With his complex Functional Neurological Disease (FND) on top, his symptoms include but not limited to tremors, sudden brief involuntary twitching or jerking of a muscles. The jolts that he explains the worst is like being deliberated. Involuntary muscle contractions. Weakness in Legs and arms. Vomiting. Speech difficulties. Movement problems. Complications etc
Spinal cord damage at the cervical spine level with neurogenic issues.

Despite the physical toll, he continues to push forward with a positive outlook. A special thank you to a few of his mates who are finishing off a few tasks already underway, and to those who are helping modify and change things to make things easier. Every piece of help is grateful. There are nights he is terrified to sleep due to how bad they are.

Recently, Steven’s health has become more complex following the onset of the neurological condition in July 24 and a diagnosis of these life long conditions. With only a bit of research it doesn’t take one to long to work out the challenges faced daily for this once sporty, active, community representative and family guy. We know he will push hard! but they will need the assistance more than physically, but financially to help get him through this. He’s not going down easy but is “shit scared” about losing the house with no income.

His Neurologist wants him to continue pushing with things he has done and familiar with, like rugby league commentary. He has been tinkering when he can with a few projects, and has plans afoot to “pivot through life”

This support is about giving Steve a fighting chance to access intervention therapy that is not cheap and not available locally whilst also keeping a roof over the kids and Ashleigh heads. So think long and hard: this is the guy who has made a ridiculous difference to people from local to more broader.

Let’s make a difference in his life. He deserves it. With your help, Steve can continue to build opportunities, make an impact, and leave a legacy that benefits so many.
