Help Steve Betters get back to Alabama!

Hi everyone! My name is Crystal and I’m Steve’s daughter. As most of you know, my dad was in a motorcycle accident in Virginia on 05/25/2023 while riding with some CVMA brothers from Alabama to DC for the Memorial Day tribute. After some confusion in the group, dad hit a large drop (~6”) on a soft shoulder where the pavement turned to gravel and he was unable to stay upright even though he tried his hardest. He was rushed to UVA Hospital where he spent 2.5 weeks in the ICU and a few days on a med-surg unit after sustaining 2 collapsed lungs, 19 broken ribs and multiple brain bleeds. Your prayers have undoubtedly helped him get through some of the hardest moments in his recovery and we are so thankful! Now, he’s at the point in his healing where it is safe to transport him back to Alabama where he will receive neuro and physical rehabilitation in an acute setting. Unfortunately, the ambulance company does not work with insurance so my parents are having to pay 100% out of pocket. I am hoping that we can raise enough funds to help offset the $8,045 cost for getting my dad home! Any amount would be so greatly appreciated!
