Help Steve Byrd with his fight against Cancer!!

Hello, This GoFundMe is for our dear friend Steve Byrd. Some of you already know Steve has recently been diagnosed with Stage 3 Throat Cancer. This was a shock to him and us. He has been to several Dr appointments to see what course of action will be. He is scheduled to have a procedure done in the next week to find out where the cancer originated from. This week he will be meeting with the oncologist to start his treatments which will include radiation and chemotherapy. He will be having radiation treatments 5 days a week and chemotherapy 1 day a week for 6 weeks. Then there will be a break then he will do the process again.

All of this will be very hard on Steve physically and financially. I have asked Steve if he would mind me doing this GoFundMe to help raise money for the expenses. 100% of the money raised will go towards his medical cost and travel expenses. He has a $5000.00 out-of-pocket deductible that he will meet very quickly. He will have prescriptions that are several hundred dollars a month. The daily commute for radiation will be costly due to the high gas prices. There will be other unexpected costs also that will come up.

Steve has been a Best friend to me for the last 13 years. He has become part of my family. Many of you have gotten to know him through the years. He is a proud Veteran. He also has been a strong supporter of Law Enforcement. He has been very vocal in his support of us. Steve has been there for many of us if we ever need anything. I am asking for anyone who can help Steve financially to do so. This will be a tremendous strain on him financially. He will have the fight of his life ahead of him. The financial support will help take some of the stress off of him.
