Steve Denton's Road to Recovery
Donation protected
To all of our Wonderful Family, Friends and Colleagues,
On March 16, 2022, It was an ordinary evening just like any other for Steve (Our Father) and his wife, Margaret. Not long after going to bed, Margaret awoke, looked over at her husband, and immediately noticed something was wrong and Steve was unresponsive. Thanks to Margaret's quick actions and the speedy response from Sturgis Fire and Ambulance responders, they were able to shock our Dad back to life (Literally). Come to find out, our Father had suffered a severe heart attack. After many tests, we found out his heart was not functioning anywhere near normal and had 100% blockage in his main artery. After a lengthy 2 week hospital stay, heart surgery and some rehabilitation at the hospital, he was able to go home. Since being home, he has continued with his rehabilitation therapy, doctor visits, tests, and numerous new medications, all in hopes of somehow getting back to "normal". And Thankfully, he is getting better day by day. We Thank God for not only giving our Dad a second shot at life but also that he has Margaret, who is such an incredible and caring wife. Her knowledge and Love saved his life. And her continued devotion to him and his recovery is heaven-sent. We are also endlessly grateful to the first responders and the AED donor for their life-saving contributions. Without these heroes, we would be here, telling you all a completely different story.

As so many of us know, medical care is outrageously expensive. When a major event such as a heart attack happens the financial toll can be devastating. Life Saving Tools, Ambulance Ride, Emergency Room, Hospital Stay, Heart Surgery, Medications, Rehab, etc. etc. it all adds up very quickly. Add to that the fact, that now unable to work the bills are mounting and are going unpaid.
Steve is a loving and generous son, husband, father and grandfather. We his Family have been in turmoil since the event and cannot fathom a life without him. We are hoping to ease their minds just a bit, as they continue to progress forward in healing, by collecting donations to cover as many costs as possible. These are the reasons we felt it necessary to start this form of fundraising. We understand how difficult times are, and how little extra we all have to spare. However, any amount donated is huge relief for our Dad and so very much appreciated.
Thank You from the bottoms of our hearts,
Daughters; Cierra, Whitney and Family of Steve Denton
