HELP STEVE LIPSKI MAKE HIS HOME WHEELCHAIR ACCESSIBLE
Donation protected
Hello, my name is Janet Lipski. I truly appreciate you taking the time to read our story. In April of this year my husband, Steve Lipski, suffered a traumatic and life-changing event. What was supposed to be outpatient foot surgery turned into a 40-day hospital stay and the total amputation of his right leg. Though we are excited that he is making progress, his potential release from a rehab facility has presented us with different challenges.
Our home (a bi-level) is not wheelchair accessible. We are faced with the immediate need of multiple major home modifications including:
• installation of a chair lift to allow access to the main living space,
• modifying our bathroom from a tub to walk-in shower with grab bars, and
• replacement of the carpet with laminate flooring in the main areas of our home to make wheelchair maneuvering easier.
These changes must be made before he is released from the rehab facility. Won’t you please consider donating towards these renovation costs? No amount is too small. Thank you so much in advance for your support.
