Help Steve Porter Protect His Family Farm!

Help us combat the gross overreach of the DNR! The MN Deer Farmers Association and Steve are in this fight together, and the money will go directly to the MDFA, and will be directly applied to attorney fees. The DNR over reach does not only effect deer farms, it effects everyone who enjoys hunting and fishing in our state. Now is the time to unite and show the DNR that we will not be pushed around and that we do have a voice. A donation, however small, sends a signal that we as sportsmen and land owners are united. Right now the emergency rule that the DNR instated grossly exceeds their authority. This is not just about deer farms, it's about an agency that is continually bullying the very people that they work for. Any small donation will send a signal to the state. Steve and his family have been raising whitetail deer since 1992. They have been traveling to sportsmen's events, schools, and churches to educate the public about whitetail deer behavior and hunting techniques since 1996.

Steve and many other family farms across the state are being targeted by the MN DNR via a new rule banning the travel of farmed whitetails in the state of Minnesota. This rule is an overreach by the DNR because the deer farm industry is governed by the MN Board of Animal Health. Additionally, this rule pertains only to farmed whitetails as opposed to all farmed cervidae. 

On January 6th, Steve was given a ticket by the MN DNR for traveling with his deer to the  Minnesota Sportsmen's show in St. Paul, where his deer will be used for an educational exhibition.
