Help stop solar farm development at 90 Pond Street

Donation protected

We need the public’s help to help stop the installation of an industrial solar facility in a rural residential neighborhood. Residents of Pond St and the towns people of Rehoboth, MA have a story to  share.  The Rhode Island Boy Scouts have leased 40 acres of land to a national solar farm developer Nexamp - http://nexamp.com/ , who is controlled by the international firm Mitsubishi Corp - https://www.mitsubishicorp.com/. The proposed plan, in front of the Rehoboth Planning board, is to clear cut 14 acres of trees.  The neighbors have concerns about the negative affect of the neighborhood character, decrease in property value, violations of town bylaws, noise pollution, drinking water safety, protected habitat for the eastern box turtle and preservation of Native American artifacts.

Will you help us with our legal defense fund? We are preparing our legal strategy.  Our first milestone will be presenting a legal argument in front of the Rehoboth Planning board meeting March 31, 2021.

Donations are completely Anonymous if you choose to.

We are extremely grateful for all the support. We appreciate all the efforts of all the volunteer boards and elected officials. We appreciate the opinion of all residents. We love Rehoboth. Peace to you all.
