Help Story Parlor after break-in

Donation protected
On Sunday, January 8, we discovered Story Parlor (along with a handful of other West Asheville businesses) had been broken into. The results of the burglary included shattering our large storefront window and stealing the register with cash inside. Unfortunately with our high insurance deductible and the chances of our rates going up, it’s more cost effective to pay for these damages out of pocket. As a volunteer run arts business, we’re turning to our beloved community for any support to help us get back on our feet.

Specifically, we are hoping to raise money to cover the window and terminal replacement, and damages. If there are any extra funds, they will go toward updating our security. Having been open less than a year, this seemingly small amount is a large blow to our bottom line. We’ve been so touched by the outpouring of support not only in our nine months of existence, but in the past couple days since this incident. We’re grateful for this community and more than anything are relieved no one was hurt in these burglaries, and hope the individual responsible finds help after these acts of desperation.
