Help stray dog get surgery & new home

On May 25th, a stray pit bull came up to my house while I was playing with my dogs in the front yard. The pit looked like he had been out on the streets for quite some time - shedding like crazy, coat was dirty, and limping on his back leg. I gave him some water, food and a nice bath before taking him to the vet to see if he had a microchip.

He has no microchip, no animal shelter had any calls about him and myself and friends had posted all over social media and neighborhood apps to try to find the owner.

May 26th I brought him into the vet for a check up, with still no updates on an owner. The vet asked if I would be willing to move forward in giving him a rabies shot, x rays for his leg, and full lab work. The cost for just that was $765. They then quoted me $3,200-3,600 for him to get surgery on what is shown as a fractured femur, which looked like he has had for quite some time now. The vet told me they highly recommend him getting surgery as soon as possible.

I have completely fallen in love with this dog the past few days I’ve been caring for him and hate seeing him in so much pain. I would love to adopt him, and give him a new home and the love he deserves.
