Time to make positive changes

Hi my name is Sue and I am a retired nurse and learning support assistant with SEN students in college. For 14 years I have been a double below knee amputee. Recently due to an infection that almost became fatal I have had two further amputations, meaning I am now an above knee amputee on one side. This has completely changed my life, and not in a positive way. I am now unable to independently care for myself or move around my home. I am dependent on someone to help me with every day tasks. This has had a 100% impact on my life. Before I was able to continue with my life, but this has been a game changer. At times I have felt that my life is worthless, but with support from my family and friends each day makes a difference.

if I could buy a power chair I would be able to return to work, and a job I love.

i have lost so much through diabetes, and it is now effecting my families lives also.

All I am hoping for is a small part of my independence back….and you could be part of making that dream a reality.

if you could spare even a small amount it would make a positive change to my life.

in these times of financial difficulty for all of us, every penny makes a difference.

Feb update 1

I have just spent 3 hours on the floor…after falling back out of my wheelchair and headbutting the floor. I wouldn’t have done this if I had access to a powered chair.
