Help Sunny Walk Again: Angelina's Plea

Hello, I'm Angelina, and I'm fundraising on behalf of my 5-year-old dog, Sunny. Sunny has torn ligaments in both of her back legs, which is seriously impacting her quality of life. My girl that once loved to run in dachshund races and go on daily walks at the lake is now unable to stand. It is painful for her to balance on both of her back legs at the same time, so she has been falling and unable to stand in the last week.

We've always had pet insurance for Sunny ever since she was a puppy. We were covered by the same pet insurance for years, but when someone stole my debit card information, and it had to be replaced, it led to incorrect card info accidentally remaining on file. Although I was set up with paperless notifications, I never received an email about my payments not processing, therefore this is now considered a preexisting condition and will not be covered by her insurance (which I’ve now reinstated). I’m gutted that this has happened as I had always been diligent about having policies on both my beautiful girls in case of an emergency such as this...

Now, I am expecting impending surgery bills to be a minimum of $6,500. That's about $2900 per surgery for her back legs, and $700 for her latest orthopedic exam and x-rays. I’ve applied for Care Credit, which will cover a part of the total cost, and I was approved, but considering that their interest rate is more than 30% after 6 months, I really need as much support as I can get.

I’m going to be completely transparent; my student loans and personal expenses are already so high that this extra cost is going to be impossible to handle. If you can spare anything at all, Sunny and I would really appreciate it. Thank you. ❤️
