Help Support 800 Art Students at Laurus Academy

Hello!!

I’m Ms. Homer and I am the art teacher at Laurus Academy in Southfield. I started teaching there last April and have been working diligently to revamp the art program. I teach k-8 and have just over 800 students. The starting budget I was given was $250 and $150 after the new year. If any of you know anything about art supplies you know that money doesn’t go a long way especially for such a large group of students. I’ve been very grateful to have the support of my coworker and her daughter in helping me make this video to raise awareness for our cause. I aspire to raise $2,000 (still only $2.50 per student) in hopes to give these students the art program they deserve! If you aren’t in a position for financial donations, we’re are always accepting new or used art materials and would really appreciate anyone sending our fundraiser out to their communities!
