Help support a family after a freak accident

Hi my name is Laura and I am fundraising for a local family in my area. On 20th August 2022, Scott was placing balloons on their house which they had the keys for the night before, his wife was 30 and wanted to make it special. Scott’s foot went through a pain of glass and he has done some serious damage to his leg. This resulted in him having 4 hours of surgery, he was 2mm from severing his main artery! He is extremely lucky. They bought the house to renovate and we currently staying with family whilst Scott was supposed to complete the renovations for them to move in. Scott is only entitled to statutory sick pay and this means all money saved for the renovations will now go to pay the mortgage. When Scott has his accident his 3 beautiful children witnessed it and this has been traumatic for the whole family. Scott may need further surgeries, there are lots of unknowns from this accident and stress levels are high. Having purchased their first family home this should be an exciting time for them but it has turned into a nightmare.

I am hoping to raise some money to take the load off the stress of worrying about money whilst Scott doesn’t know how long he will be out of action for.
