Hi my name is Janet, I am the mother of a beautiful young lady named Sky. Please take the time to read our plead below.

Skylar Blay is 30 years old, She have been battling diabetes for 19 years and also has stage 5 Chronic Kidney disease (CKD) which she has been battling for the past 5 years, her kidney function is only at 5% which can have catastrophic consequences.

All of this has unfortunately come to the point where she is in dire need of a kidney transplant! Wait lists for a transplant are 5 to 7 years long and unfortunately Sky doesn’t have this type of time.

Which brings us here to social media, We are searching and reaching out for potential O blood types, willing to go through the steps to donate a kidney. Any and all support or contributions would be super helpful and greatly appreciated.

Earlier this year Skylar was on dialysis when she found out that she was pregnant with her little miracle baby Olive. Olive was born healthy but early, so they as a family had to navigate life with Sky’s illness and Olive being a preemie and spending time in the hospital.

As many know, being a new mom is such a high light, however it has been overshadowed by the real stress of finding a kidney so that Skylar can continue to love and cherish motherhood with Olive!

In the future, once Skylar has hopefully received a donor kidney, the family will need supports, one of which is home daycare for Olive, the choice to look for home daycares is due to less exposure for Olive and ultimately Sky who’s immune system will continue to be compromised during recovery. As you can imagine there will be a huge financial strain on their family due to Skylar’s recovery and inability to work while she heals and the daycare costs which are vital and everyday expenses, such as food, bills and any unexpected costs that may arise.

We are seeking any offerings that will help her family through this journey, and will make things a little bit easier as they walk together through such a life changing experience!

Blood tests -to check the function of your 

heart, 

kidneys, 

liver, 

thyroid, and 

immune system. 

You will also be checked for problems with 

blood sugar control and electrolyte balance. 

Special tests that look for certain viruses (CMU, EBV, hepatitis and HIV/AIDS) will also be done. 

Than we do the chest x ray, abdominal evaluation, echocardiogram, cardiac stress test, cancer screening, colonoscopy, gynaecological/prostate exam and finally a dental exam.
