Help Support a Spay Neuter event on St. John in November

Tax deductible
The ACC of St. John is looking for your help in raising $65,000 for the largest Spay/Neuter event the shelter has ever undertaken. The shelter recently signed a MOU with Visiting Vets International. From November 8-11th 2024 we hope to get 300 cats and dogs spay/neutered on St. John.

VVI will be traveling down with 15 vets/volunteers, and even though they do bring many of the supplies they will need to operate, the ACC will have to raise this capital to make this event happen.

Funds raised will be used for housing, location of the event, transportation, live animal traps, medication, food, along with many other supplies. The ACC plans on shipping in over 100 live animal traps to help catch feral cats. We are also excited to announce that this event will be open to residents (free of cost) to get their pets spay/neutered as well.

Access to spay/neuter has changed over the years so we are determined to make this as successful as possible. If we can reach our goal of 300 animals this will put us years ahead on island in terms of spay/neuter. VVI will also be willing to come back on a yearly basis for future events. The ACC deals with hundreds of homeless cats, dogs, and owner surrenders a year. Having a healthy and happy animal population is good for all residents both human and animal.

For more information on this campaign you can reach out to the ACC for more information. Also if you have question on why you should spay/neuter please do not hesitate to ask ACC staff or a local vet.
