Dear family, friends, Pioneer community, baseball communities all over - including travel to college baseball communities (UVA and VMI) with his sons, volleyball travel community with his daughter, and compassionate neighbors from all over.
Aaron has centered his life around supporting his kids to the best of his abilities, from coaching them and teammates, to cheering them on, to encouraging them, to traveling all over the country in support of their dreams. In August, as his daughter was getting set to begin her senior year at LHS, Seth was about to begin his first year at VMI, and Matthew about to start his 3rd year at UVA, the unforeseen began to spiral out of control, Aaron’s health. From August to this point Aaron has been in and out of hospitals treating everything from food poison, pancreatitis, gallbladder issues, and to top it all off…a cancer diagnosis that landed like a bomb just before Christmas. Aaron and his wife, Stephanie, are both career teachers in Russell County, and also drive buses and farm a little in order to help put their four children through school, and aid them in following their dreams. Their oldest, Cole, graduated from King University and is making a difference as an RN in the ER at Lebanon. One of Aaron’s students, he teaches at the vocational school in Lebanon, recently said that “everyone in his class likes him, actually everyone in the entire vocational school does.” Aaron has a nickname for just about every kid in his classes, as well as every kid that rides his bus. He loves giving them all a part of him on a daily basis and often takes on their struggles, while dishing out life lessons and teaching them the importance of gaining important skills that can only meet its full potential when coupled with a great attitude.
Prayers for Aaron and his family as they face some uncertain times. The fight is ON!! If you would like to join in that fight, to help with the never-ending medical expenses already building, I know his family would be eternally grateful. Every burden alleviated will lead to more focus on the fight that matters most for them right now…
