Help support Alexander and family during recovery

 My name is Marisa and I have set up this gofundme page for my best friends Alexandria's son Alexander Aka Bubs. Alexander is the most adorable baby boy and a child that has brought so much joy to this world in his 7 months of life.

He is a prince to his mother and his daddies all star. He is protected by the best 2 big sisters a boy could have and loved unconditionally by his Grandparents, family, and extended family.

In April of this year on what was supposed to be a routine in and out 6mth check, the world stopped for those who love baby Alexander. The doctors informed his parents about a concern they had regarding his soft spot and that they would need further testing before they could provide any definite answers. A week later Alexander was put under anesthesia and a CT scan was performed. Unfortunately, the results were not idle. Alexander was diagnosed with Craniosynostosis. Craniosynostosis is a birth defect in which the bones in a baby's skull join together too early resulting in an increase pressure on the brain.As the baby's brain grows, the skull can become more misshapen and if left untreated, Craniosynostosis can lead to serious complications, including head deformity, blindness, seizures, or brain damage. Of course the only answer was to perform surgery and to do so asap.

In the week leading up to surgery many things had to be done. Alexander needed additional testing and blood work performed and his parents had their blood drawn for any transfusions Alexander would need. Preparing their household and making sure everything was bought and lined up for their oldest daughters last weeks of school was also a priority as Alexandria always makes sure they have everything they need.Probably the hardest task was explaining to their daughters what was happening and what to expect going forward. Baby Alexander underwent Sagittal surgery Friday June 2nd . A pediatric neurosurgeon and plastic surgeon worked together and were able to remove the middle suture and place 4 springs to allow the brain to contiune to grow iver the next four months. In September he will undergo a 2nd surgery to remove the springs.

My best friend allie is the best mother and puts everyone before herself. She is a stay at home mother who not only embraces her roll but excells at it. Alexanders father T.J. has taken 2 weeks off of work to be with his family and to take on the many responsibilities while Allie helps alexander recover. I can't tell how giving this family is. There is nothing they wouldnt do to help anyone in need. For people who are so used to giving it can be hard to ask for help when you need it. This is why I've decided to ask on their behalf. The funds raised will help cover income loss as well as medical bills for alexander.
