Help support Alyssa and her young Family

Hi,

my name is Kourtney Laino and I work with Alyssa at the hospital here in Sudbury, Ontario. I met Alyssa when I was going on my first maternity leave as she was the one covering for me while I was off. She ended up getting hired full time and when I came back from maternity leave I ended up getting pregnant for baby number 2, well Alyssa was pregnant at the same time we actually had our babies two days apart. Alyssa came back to work and followed the same trend as me she hoped on to baby number 2 right away and now she and Erick have two beautiful boys together, Elijah who will be 2 years old in May and Isiah who was born in January 2022. She is a busy mama of two under two. Her boyfriend recently tested postive for covid-19 over the Easter weekend he unfortunately has it very bad and when he went into the hospital he ended up going into cardiac arrest. He was placed on a ventilator and she has now been told that he will not recover from this due to severe brain damage. This is devastating news for anyone but for someone who is a young mom with two small children at home is just a perfect storm. She is going to now live her life with her spouse not by her side and her two boys not having their father present in their life. This should never happen to anyone she is living a nightmare right now.

I have created this page to see if we can do anything to help her on this journey that she is now facing wether it be to help with funeral costs down the road or to help her get by and pay her bills right now

Any little bit will help and we need to gather and support her in the best way we possible can.
