A thirdyear medical student at Faculdade de Medicina da Universidade de Lisboa, she dedicated her life to the dream of becoming a doctor and giving back to her community. Her compassion, kindness, and unwavering dedication made her a shining light in the lives of everyone who knew her.

After losing her father to COVID-19, Amarah became the backbone of her family. She left behind her loving mother, an older sister and three younger siblings in Mozambique in 2020, determined to make a better life for them. She worked tirelessly, not only to excel in her studies but to provide a future where she could support her family back home. Her sudden passing has left a void that can never be filled and a family struggling to cope with both emotional and financial devastation.

Amarah era mais do que uma estudante; ela era um farol de esperança e amor.
