HELP SUPPORT ANNIE’S RECOVERY FROM PALISADES FIRE

I am raising funds for my dear friend of over 40 years, Annie Bastendorf. The Palisades Fire completely destroyed Annie’s quaint midcentury home.

Since 1965, three generations of women artists lived, created, and thrived in this home. Annie loved and cared for both her mother and grandmother in their beloved house. While still grieving the loss of her mother, who passed a few months ago, Annie is now facing this unimaginable upheaval without her. The fire took her house and art studio and everything in them: heirlooms, paintings, pottery, sheet music, cherished family photos, vintage homemade furniture, stacks of old books—and an untold number of irreplaceable family memories at every turn. Only the chimney stands.

I am asking for help on Annie’s behalf. She will be so very grateful for any support that will allow her to cover the kinds of expenses and needs that would never be reimbursed by FEMA or other official means of aid. All contributions, big or small, will go directly to Annie as she works to rebuild her life out of the ashes.
