HELP SUPPORT APPLESEED FOOTBALL CLUB

RHO Appleseed Community Center in Lusaka. Zambia, supports both boys and girls soccer from ages 8 - 18.

(Not yet a 501c.3 IS non profit, however that is the goal.) The center is currently funded with personal funds from Ken and Joy Hoffman and about 6 other individuals.

Team members do not have the ability to pay for league fees, uniform costs, equipment or travel.

Our teams operate on a shoe string with all fees coming directly from myself and my husband and about 6 regular donors to RHO Appleseed. Regular donations run from $10/mo. to $125/mo (thanks mom and dad!) These funds also have to cover all salaries, food, and operations of the center.

So, the ask?

Funding for this year’s Children’s Tournament. This is an annual event that is finally returning after 3 years! Registration, accommodation and food cost is approximately 3000 kwacha ($200)

2. Funding for our Under 19 Developmental Team. This team was invited to join the FAZ zone 8 league which was quite an honor. However, league fees are 1000 kwacha/mo. ( $67) Keeping the team supplied with balls, shoes and uniforms is a challenge. On the FAZ zone 8 league shoes are required which is not the case for our other teams. We are hoping to raise k500/mo to keep out U19 playing in this exciting league.

We are hoping to raise enough to support our RHO APPLESEED FOOTBALL CLUB for the following year. This can be done for $1500. That is the cost that many of us pay for one child to participate in sports for a year.
