Help Support Asia Through False Legal Charges

Earlier this fall, Asia began receiving mail from out of state lawyers offering their services to defend her in a legal case she had heard nothing about. After some investigating, Asia was able to find out a Pennsylvania State Trooper had filed multiple felony charges against her for a crime she had nothing to do with.

Simply a case of bad timing, Asia was at her local bank at the same time somebody was using stolen checks to withdraw money. When the trooper investigating the case saw Asia on the video surveillance footage, he filed charges.

As always, the world of the US Justice System is convoluted and expensive. Asia needed to retain a lawyer for legal protection as she answered to these charges to begin proving her innocence. Of course, the services of a lawyer do not come cheaply, and this unexpected cost creates quite a strain on Asia’s financial situation. We are asking for your assistance in generating these funds to make sure Asia has proper legal assistance as the case moves towards a hearing early next year. Additionally, further legal services will be necessary to expunge her records as she begins applying for her US citizenship.

Having collected proof that Asia was not connected to these crimes, we are confident the case will be dismissed at the hearing in January.
