Help Audrey & Zac Through Cardiac Arrest Recovery
Donation protected
We are hoping to raise funds to get Audrey and Zac through an extremely difficult time as they are navigating Audrey’s recovery from cardiac arrest.
Audrey was going to lunch with a friend when she suddenly collapsed and went into cardiac arrest. She was unconscious and without a heartbeat for 20 minutes while her friend and others performed CPR. When the ambulance arrived they were able to shock her twice with a defibrillator to restart her heart. When she arrived at the hospital she was conscious, but needed to be intubated and in the icu for a time. The likelihood of survival from this type of event was extremely slim. She is now awake, walking, talking, and breathing, which we are all so incredibly thankful for. The fact that Audrey is alive at all is truly a miracle in many ways and we are all blessed to still have her here with us.
At this point she is still hospitalized and dealing with the consequences of this traumatic event. There are a lot of unknowns and a lengthy recovery ahead of her. She will be unable to work for an undetermined amount of time and she and Zac will have many medical and living expenses that need to be taken care of.
They are young and have only been married for a year. Both have been going to school and working full time. Their lives have been flipped upside down just as they are starting out and we truly hope that together we can help to ease that burden. If you are looking to bless someone this holiday season you couldn’t choose two kinder people to help. Thank you so much!
