Help support Brennan through this difficult time

We are so saddened at the passing of our dear friend, Brian Toodle this week. We met Brian in November 2018 when he joined the Family Promise program in search of a better future for his son Brennan. Brian was already years into his battle with cancer but had recently lost his housing due to not being able to work at full capacity. Brian, who wanted to provide a safe and loving environment for Brennan, loved the community that Family Promise could create for their family. Through this, Brian and Brennan were able to meet so, so many wonderful volunteers, coordinators, and community members. People who they loved and loved them in return. We, the Family Promise staff, as well as Brian’s family, have been blown away by the love and condolences that you all have been sending.
But it makes sense, Brian and Brennan have made a life-changing impact on so many of us.
The coming months are going to be tough on the Toodle family. Although Brian’s parents and siblings all currently live in Alabama, Brennan’s grandmother and aunt are planning to stay with Brennan here in Atlanta through the remainder of his school year so he can graduate in May. They are working through his plans for after that.
However, right now, Brian’s family is concerned about trying to pay Brian/Brennan’s rent as well as their mortgage at home. Taking on all the costs that Brian was covering for Brennan as well as their apartment, is a daunting task for the family. We would love to ease the worry of their family by helping with these costs.
The funds raised here will go directly to Brennan, to assist primarily with the immediate living costs for him for at least the next few months.
It was so important to Brian that Brennan be taken care of after he passed. We are so appreciative for all the love, support, prayers, cards, that everyone had been pouring out for him. He knows he always has a family with all of us, and that is thanks to all of you.
