Help Support Bruce (Zig) Ziegler

Hello Everyone,

This GoFundMe has been set up to support Bruce (Zig) and MJ Ziegler by offsetting medical expenses during this long period of recovery. Bruce (Zig) was diagnosed with Stage 4 colon cancer in March 2020. At that time, he had a colostomy procedure and as a result has had an ostomy bag in place. Since then and to date, he has been receiving chemo and immunotherapy treatments.

In July 2021, Bruce had major surgery which included ostomy bag reversal, spleen removal and colon resection. His recovery continued with procedures of repeated drains in pancreas and stomach, along with a stent in the pancreas and therefore, extended hospital stays. Bruce has been unable to work since December 2020. MJ, Bruce’s wife, has been by his side, caring for her husband and therefore, unable to work.

Bruce (Zig) is one of the nicest guys you could know. He is always willing to give of himself and help someone out. He’s known as the $2.00 bill guy – he loves seeing smiles on the faces of those he gifts these to, especially servers in restaurants.

For those of you who live in Butler, Pa, you may have seen Bruce at the YMCA where he is a member and an avid swimmer. Bruce loves the game of baseball where he loved being a dad coach and a Butler County and State Patch umpire. Bruce is a member and volunteer at All Saint’s Parish (former St. Paul’s). Bruce also loves all things Volkswagon. Bruce has been there for so many and now it’s time for us to be there for him.

Bruce’s generosity toward others is unbelievable, and he and MJ need our help. While many of the medical costs are covered by insurance, there are a lot of out-of-pocket medical expenses. We would like to raise money to help ease the financial burden, allowing Bruce to focus on healing. Please help us share his story and raise money to offset his medical expenses.
