On the 23rd February my brother Sanford was involved in a serious car accident in Geraldton. Sanford was the passenger in the car that clipped gravel and lost control, wrapping around a tree on his side.
This resulted in very serious injuries for Sanford. He broke his spine in multiple places, a large part of his brain shows bruising and swelling and he has a collapsed lung.
While Sanford is putting up the fight of his life, these injuries are very serious and will take a long time to recover from. At this stage we expect he will be hospital for around 6 months for extensive rehabilitation, it could be longer, we just don't know at this stage.
Sanford has his beautiful partner of 7 years, Carissa by his bedside every single day. From the moment he can have visitors she is there until the moment they kick her out at night. She has been phenomenal through all of this. Because Carissa is with Sanford every minute she possibly can be, they have no income coming in at the moment. Sanford and Carissa have a 7 month old baby together, my beautiful nephew Campbell.
I have set this page up to raise funds for Sanford, Carissa and Campbell. It's a long uncertain road ahead and I want to do all I can to take the stress of finances off of Carissa and Sanfords shoulders. If you are in a position to do so, please help me to help my family through this time. Any donation, no matter how big or small will be greatly appreciated.
With the money raised Carissa wont have to worry about fuel and parking money when visiting Sanford, she wont have to worry about money for food and nappies for Campbell. As majority of her time is spent at the hospital with Sanford away from Campbell, some of the money can go towards days out with Campbell to help take her mind off the current situation, even just for a moment.
